---Traders---
Barkeep (Beautiful, isn't he?)
Neither a saint, nor a scoundrel. The Barkeep knows his worth and is respected by all stalkers. Rumor has it he is hiding in the Zone from some dark events in his past. After an encounter with the anomaly, he started limping slightly and decided to change jobs. He set up a bar by the Duty faction, and the place gradually turned into the meeting point for all the Zone's veterans. The Barkeep has numerous connections both in the Zone and in the outside world.
Skinflint (Also, beautiful.)
He works as his faction's main trader and can be found in the main building of the Freedom faction headquarters. The first time the player talks to him, he'll give a quest that requires the elimination of all Bloodsuckers in the nearby village (note that this quest can also be taken from Murk). The type of items that Skinflint sells depends on your "status" with Freedom.
Colonel petrenko
One of Duty founders and their leading idea-monger at the same time. Responsible for the faction's sacred code, he recruited basically all of Duty key members.
Sidorovich
He is known throughout the Zone and the underground market for being the only reliable connection to the zone of alienation from the outside world. He achieves this with the help of the army inside the Cordon. There is a common saying amongst Stalkers that if Sidorovich can't complete your shopping list, no one in the Zone can.
professor sakharov
Sakharov has been studying the Zone ever since the first research laboratories were set up on its perimeter in 2007. He is a professor of genetics, but dabbles in pretty much every scientific field his Zone research encompasses. His politeness and professionalism, along with a tendency to offer stalkers lucrative contracts for artifacts and mutant body parts, make him a very popular employer. He leads a small group of ecologists in Yantar, along with his assistant Professor Kruglov.
Ashot
Ashot is the Freedom faction's trader and is responsible for much of their gear. Ashot is a cheerful and optimistic fellow who very much enjoys his life in Freedom. According to himself, he has been put on several blacklists and even hit-lists by important underworld personalities, because he is a major opponent in the trading business, due to his low prices and quality equipment. Scar meets Ashot during the Freedom part of the main quest, after commandant Lingov sends him to the trader to get some ammunition for one of the Freedom camps.
docent suslov
He serves as the Clear Sky's trader and is the one to hand out all Clear Sky faction quest rewards. At the beginning of the game, he gives the player a first set of weapons and medical equipment.
shilov
An experienced loner Stalker, Shilov was quick to show up when Father Valerian created the loner community. As one of the first to join up, he decided that he would work as the faction's main trader, saying that he has the experience to do it from learning a few from Sidorovich and that he was trading-in comic books for cash during his elementary school years.
Tooth
He was originally an arms dealer during the Cold War but was arrested during a major deal, after he was released from prison, he then bought items stolen by burglars where again he was caught and arrested and sent to prison again. When he got out of prison, the Soviet Union had collapsed and he was unable to adapt to the new regime of his country, he then went to the Zone as he saw it fit for him and became a trader without second thought. He doesn't really care much about Yoga's leadership just as long as he can sell his goods.
beard
He is the bartender on the Skadovsk who also is an Artifact dealer. He is arguably the leader of the local Loners in the Zaton. He constantly finds himself in conflicts with Sultan, the Zaton Bandit leader. He isn't on very good terms with Owl, since he sides with Sultan.
owl
Owl can be found in Zaton, functioning as the trader and information dealer in the Skadovsk. He is known to side with Sultan when conflicts arise between Sultan and Beard.
hawaiian
Hawaiian spends the entirety of the game behind the bar in the Yanov Station. Not only does he fill Beard's role as artifact and food trader, he sells weaponry and ammunition to the stalkers and factioners inside the Station. He leans towards Freedom, but if Duty wins the 'war' inside the station he will begrudgingly comply and sell the player Duty oriented wares.
bonesetter
Bonesetter, along with Zulu, are the only 2 known people in Yanov who could sense when an emission is approaching before the signs even begin to manifest, as such he regularly announces approaching emissions on stalkers' PDAs. He is also one of the senior residents of Yanov station. He is known to be trustworthy among the residents, never gossiping and always advising free stalkers to stay out of Duty and Freedom's war.
tremor
Tremor was formerly a doctor or surgeon in the Ukraine - for reasons unknown he decided to enter the Zone on his own in hopes of getting away. He came upon the Skadovsk and quickly became a trusted and valuable addition to the crew, and seemed to take Beard's side in the conflicts between him, Sultan, and Owl.
Hermann
Professor Hermann is a scientist working for the Ukrainian Ministry of Education and leader of the recent expedition of the Ecologists to the northern parts of the zone. He used to visit Sakharov's bunker in Yantar but eventually insisted to the head members of the Ministry of Education that a second research bunker must be available at all times, especially considering the recent predicament of the Brain Scorcher being disabled. After successfully persuading the Ministry of Education after a long argument with the head members, his bunker was dropped into the zone's northern area without military protection, owing this to Operation Fairway. This forced him to hire stalkers for field work and mercenaries for protection.
